The Airbus programme at a glance
The integrated Airline Transport Pilot (ATPi) programme is a structured, end-to-end journey designed to shape ready to fly airline pilots and future flight leaders.

The training programme lasts approximately 24 months with an optimised balance of theoretical and flight training, and is structured into four main phases:
1. The Core phase – approx. 8 weeks of both ground and flight training. Discover an overview of what pilot training is for real before committing, officially becoming an Airbus cadet.
2. Theoretical ATPL – approx. 33 weeks of interactive classroom sessions led by expert instructors to gain knowledge on subjects like meteorology, navigation, communication and much more.
3. Basic phase – approx. 36 weeks of practical training, both in simulators and on aircraft, to prepare you progressively for multiple operations, from single to multiple engine piston aircraft.
4. Jet Orientation Course (JOC) or Airline Pilot Standards (APS) & Multi-Crew Cooperation (MCC) – approx. 3 to 4 weeks of operations in advanced flight simulators. Learn to fly and make decisions as a part of a crew, preparing you for piloting large multi-crew aircraft.
Successful completion of all training phases enables you to receive your pilot's licence and Airbus cadet code certificate: ready to transition directly into Type rating and your first airline role!
Fleet: Check our fleet page here.
Licence delivered: "frozen" Airline Transport Pilot Licence (ATPL). A frozen ATPL is a Commercial Pilot Licence (CPL) including Theoretical ATPL, Instrument Rating for Multi-Engine (IR/ME), advanced Upset Prevention and Recovery Training (UPRT) and Jet Orientation Course or Airline Pilot Standards & Multi Crew Cooperation (JOC or APS/MCC).
Authority: The integrated Airbus Pilot Cadet Training Programme is EASA approved, giving you the possibility to fly as a commercial pilot in Europe or any member state.
